Look to your health; and if you have it, praise God and value it next to conscience; for health is the second blessing that we mortals are capable of, blessing money can't buy.

MORE TREES, MORE OXYGEN, LONG - LASTING LIFE

Plant Trees, Planned Life
Dear Readers,
Does anyone of you thought about saving trees, how does in turn contribute to human life and existence in this world ? Do you know how much green surface area is required to provide for your daily oxygen intake that you breathe from air? Check it out with the help of this article ? Can`t we just plant enough of trees indoor and outdoor? Don’t it save ourselves from the danger of pollution and global warming?
Here I would like to ponder some few facts about trees, and various inititatives to be taken to protect our global environment.
There's are enormous ways to save trees. Trees are crucial to our environmental system and need to be taken care of as much as possible. They come with an unlimited number of benefits to our world. If we try to save trees, our air will remain clean of impurities. Trees absorb carbon dioxide, pollutants, sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide, allowing us to breathe clean oxygen.
A mature tree will produce as much oxygen for 10 people in one year. There are many benefits we can gain if we try to save trees. They provide us with noise barriers and create shade to cool the hot weather. Places can get up to 6 degrees hotter when there are no trees to block the sun. In the winter, they block the cold force of wind.
Trees help cleanse the air by intercepting airborne particles, reducing heat, and absorbing pollutants such as carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, and nitrogen dioxide. They also become very effective as stone walls in stopping sound. They muffle urban noise almost as effectively as stone walls. Trees, planted at strategic points in a neighborhood or around your house, can mitigate major noises from crowded roads, railway stations and airports. A mature leafy tree, in a few months, produces as much oxygen as that required by 10 people for one year.
A tree can absorb and stop CO2 Emissions, and other harmful gases which warm the environment. An urban forest is a carbon storage area that can lock up as much carbon. Therefore it becomes a dustbin for harmful gases.
Hey what about cooling environment and a shade for you. You will be just wondering when you walk in very hot climate, we will think if some trees are being planted I can protect me from Suntan or Hot. If we take up initiatives to plant more and more trees around our house, we can reduces the necessity for fan, coolers and air conditioning in summer. This can also save energy consumption as day by day the EB Bills are also burdening the common man. In winter, trees break the force of winter winds. This protects houses, farmland and vegetation.
It also prevent soil erosion, conserve rainwater, and reduce water runoff and sediment deposit after storms. Trees help in lowering the dust levels and pollution levels in the cities. In Coimbatore, specially the areas near to RS Puram, Race Course etc…. are well planted with bunch of trees and it provides such a good atmosphere to have a walk with family or for getting best quality of oxygen with pollution free environment.
Trees can`t communicate like we human being do. Can I ask you something what if somebody cuts your hand? What will be your reaction on that ! Just think on it for a minute.

You cry out of pain, the same way it happens for trees they don’t communicate orally likewise we do. They are also like us they work non-stop 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, without a single second's break more than what human does. There is a very common process evolved with trees called Photosynthesis whereby it absorbs harmful carbon dioxide and releases several thousands of rupees worth of life- giving oxygen free of cost.

The absorption of carbon dioxide that is a 'Green House' gas helps slow down Global Warming. If there is a steep depletion of forest cover, then the quantity of oxygen in the air is sure to go down. Eg : if a person is being admitted at hospital related to breathing problems like asthma, allergic etc.. the amount which he spends for hospital rent, oxygen cylinders and the oxygen cylinder would cost Rs 700/- and a person requires atleast a minimum of Rs 2000/- worth oxygen but think if a person can buy plants and keep them growing at their residence, that would be cost cutting measures and you can save yourselves from paying out huge bills at hospitals.

“ SAVE TREES , LIVE LONGER ”

If you think afforestation would be better, please I request you to atleast start plant saplings at your residence. Also ensure no trees are uprooted or cut in and around your place. Often we watch trees being cut down for various absurd reasons. If you are at Coimbatore, please take some time to visit Tamil Nadu Agricultural University – Botanical Garden , Marudhamalai Road, Coimbatore. Avail trees at very low cost and also pure agriculture based products are also made available.
Did you forget the question I asked in the beginning of article ? About the space ………… !
Here it is, Every human being in this world should at least have 625 square feet surface area of greenery to produce oxygen in order to save this mother earth from getting exhausted.

Thank you to all my readers,
